A Comparative that should not be over thought but should be quite simple – underpinning the question – How do the Jews Feel after the October 07, 2023 massacre, the equivalent of 35,000 dead Americans during 9/11 by ratio,  and the equivalent of 150,000 hostages captured by ratio, when comparing the amount of Muslims vs Jews in the world. Just in case you need a perspective….. 

George Floyd was apparently loitering and stealing- well, that is what the police said. Did we believe them?  It does not matter if we did or did not…. Because the way the police treated him – with such cruelty – and disregard – and by actually murdering him – renders any context or backstory of no relevance.  The only point of relevance is the police committed a blatant horrific crime.

Let us compare:

On October 07, 2023 Palestinian Hamas terrorists carried out their orchestrated plan to maim, rape, torture, mutilate, slaughter and kidnap as many Jews from Israel as possible.  To include old women, babies, children, old men, teens, moms, dads, whole families, boys, girls, women, and dogs. Over an 8 hour period they succeeded in their plan, brutalizing and slaughtering over 1000 innocent civilians. The barbaric acts of Palestinian Hamas terrorism should have stood alone in global condemnation.  Unlike African Human Rights Coalition, I do not know any other non-Jewish (in mission) related human rights or LGBTQI+ organization and movement leaders, such as Black Loves Matter and Women’s March, who came out, in outrage, or at all, to unconditionally condemn the attack immediately thereafter. Instead many of you indulged in “WHAT ABOUTISM?”

On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a 46-year-old black American man, was murdered in Minneapolis by Derek Chauvin, a 44-year-old white police officer. After seeing video footage America was horrified by the brutal police attack that killed Mr. Floyd. When we saw the Floyd murder on video we reacted right away.  The majority of  White America joining Black America in absolute unconditional condemnation. Americans took to the streets in outrage, supportive of George Floyd, his family, BLM and all Black people in the U.S.A.  We reached out to our friends. We marched. We made signs. We wrote. We sent statements in Press Releases from our organizations.

In Israel, as in the case of George Floyd, there was ample clear video evidence to support the truth of the atrocities of the October 07 massacre, to include video’s uploaded online by the Palestinians themselves, to include bloodied raped women being forced into captivity. To add to the torture Palestinian Hamas sent messages to the families of the murdered and captured Israelis showing their loved ones being brutalized. The no more word after that. Families waiting in limbo for two months, unsure if their loved ones were dead or alive.

Imagine if, after seeing the Floyd video, white people were silent, or white people denied it happened, or if all white people took the side of police, saying it was justified?  Imagine if we did not condemn the brutal murder of George Floyd and we did not decry its racial motivation. Imagine if we did not march with BLM but chose to march under a ‘Law and Order Banner ‘ – with uniformed police, instead, chanting for the demise of all Black people because we believe they deserve it?

If ALL white America sided with the police, marching through the streets of every major city, condemning and countering the BLM protesters, assaulting their flags, ripping down the posters of other Black victims of police violence, and in doing so were asserting the police were of right to use such force against Floyd based on a belief that he is a criminal and hence deserved what he got, we would be revealing that we are racist and an anti-black society. Then to add injury to insult imagine if the protesters’ banners and chants were: “eradicate all Black people, because they are thieves and criminals and hence deserve it” . That would clearly be an overt statement of racism and would also undoubtedly incite violence against Black people.

During the BLM protests for George Floyd, every human rights organization under the sun, whether Jewish., LGBTQI+, churches, businesses, you name it – showed up to express outrage….  All took to the streets, to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Because yes, we were actually outraged by what we saw! We would not have dreamed of looking for a justification because it was so egregious and there simply could be no justification. In the same way as police are expected not to racially profile, nor beat up Black people, Palestinians are not supposed to massacre Jewish families in their beds, teens at a music festival, and peace activists eating breakfast on a farm. There is no back story or context to justify this. Or do you think there is?

There was NO WHAT ABOUT-ism for Floyd: “What about criminals? Criminals deserve what they get? What about resisting arrest? Those who resist must die?”

In looking at the silence and “what-aboutism” – using the above comparative I can only draw the obvious conclusion: Anyone who did not respond unconditionally without ANY ‘what aboutisms’ immediately thereafter, be it Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, JVP, or Rep. Pramila Jayapal and there is a longer list….  has participated in dehumanizing Jews.  While they think they are not antisemitic -their behavior and verbiage emits that stench!

All who were silent at the imperative time when they should have unconditionally condemned the barbaric atrocities and massacre, be it individuals, schools, businesses, politicians, movements, BLM,  Women’s March, faith based organizations, religious leaders, Muslims, Christians, immigration organizations, etc. by silence or though ‘what aboutism’ – think that Jews on October 07 got what they deserved. That is anti-semitism at its worst.

We have now reached two months since the savage massacre. More and more is being revealed about the torture and suffering of the Jewish victims at the hands of the Palestinian attackers. Womens March, Black Lives Matter, Me Too Movement and others are still silent. They have yet to come out and condemn what occurred on OCTOBER 07.

What makes this even worse is the fact that they are silent in the face of evidence of the barbaric rape and mutilation of women, orchestrated and preplanned by Hamas “to defile and make the Jewish women dirty.” A weapon of war is the wrong terminology- because this was not war – it was a terror attack. They used rape as a weapon of terror. In all its forms, it is an unconscionable torturous dehumanization of women.

AND WORSE YET: The RAPE and ABUSE and TORTURE is ONGOING – and THEY are STILL SILENT.

Say her name: Naama Levy, 19, a peace activist, brutalized and then taken captive by Palestinian terrorists on October 7 – is still being held captive or she is no longer alive. Her mother is distraught. There are 17 young Israeli women still in GAZA under Palestinian Hamas captivity. Nor prisoners…. brutalized hostages. And you out there are ALL SILENT.

And you are not only silent but you are marching with all your ABOUTISMS in complete and flagrant disregard of NAAMA and all the other hostages still in torturous captivity. Not once have you asked for surrender by the terrorists. Not once have you said her name NAAMA LEVY. Bring her home. Bring them ALL HOME.

There is one conclusion ……  when you choose to stay silent …… now you live with it!

We will never forget who you are.

And now Israel’s response to eradicate the terrorist government of Hamas is serving as the mask for the initial and ongoing failures to rise against terrorism, rape and murder. Still there is no justification or excuse a d your masks are easily seen through.

The obvious and awful toll and suffering by those Palestinians described as innocent serves as the shield not only to protect Hamas terrorists but also to hide what you all failed to do. Their victimhood justifies your antisemitism. October 06,  October 7, October 8 – before then and still now.

But we see you and what you have done – and Jews around the world will not be intimidated into thinking we are not of right to march with and fight for Israel’s right to exist, Israel’s right to bombard Gaza until our hostages are returned and Hamas is eradicated.  We are fighting a genocide and your silence, again!

Given the desire of Palestinians and their supporters for Israel’s demise, we must fight.

Israel’s demise – the loss of the Jewish ancestral home- will spell the demise and genocide of the Jewish people- and so because there are under 15 million Jews worldwide, we must fight at all costs for our survival. And by virtue of OCT 07 and YOUR SILENCE – we are of right
