Congressman Nadler: When the Congressman was asked about Britta and Carla’s plight and the help he provided he commented- that the point of being elected Congressman was to help one’s constituents.  Nadler, democrat from New York, is the representative who introduced the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) into Congress in 2009; to provide immigration equality to same- sex permanent partners under the immigration law, which if enacted would allow Carla to sponsor Britta for a green-card, giving her an equal footing with straight  people in the USA.
