They brought you to my BLOG – Yes that media madness
THE CONSERVATIVES THINKS SHE IS A HERO, THE LIBERALS THINK SHE IS A BIGOT AND I THINK SHE IS A FOOL! Miss California, Carrie Prejean; What is the difference? Susan Boyle lives in a country where people like Elton John can legally marry, and Ms. CA lives in a country that has institutionalized (i.e. legislated) discrimination. DOMA – The Defense of Marriage Act – MUST GO. It is an an embarrasement. The last place I saw ‘legal’ discrimination was 20 years ago in South Africa – there they had a name for laws that specifically discriminated against a group of citizens, it was called “apartheid.” Such laws included the Group Areas Act, the Terrorismt Act, The Pass Laws, and more.
Now 20 years later let lo and behold; South Africa addresses sexual orientation equality in its constitution and the USA:
1. Group Areas Act – if a government can do DOMA and if a State can do Prop 8, what next? Group Areas?
2. Terrorism Act – Detention without trial – that happened last 8 years – right?
3. Pass Laws – day after day people are being asked by ICE to show documents – Ice Raids… Pass Raids no difference.;
AH and the other difference – Susan is a WINNER and CARRIE is a loser!
Note: Miss California has gone to Washington to help launch a campaign opposing same-sex marriage. Carrie Prejean told NBC’s “Today” show Thursday that she’ll be working with the National Organization for Marriage to “protect traditional marriages.” Marriage is “something that is very dear to my heart” and she’s in Washington to help save it.
Melanie Nathan: “GOSH! Is she nuts how is she helping to save it? I have yet to see an answer to that question that makes any sense at all. MISS CA CARRIE CALIFORNIA – if you read this please answer the question…thanks. PS I know there are 18000 gay married couples in California, your home State, you need to tell us how we are hurting you. It is truly the other way around, you are hurting us! You are endorsing the unequal treatment of our children, of our families. One day your grandchild will look back at the tapes and ads in shame because dissing Gay marriage 50 years from now will be tantamount to saying slavery is okay!”
