South African Radio – Melanie Nathan from Philadelphia Freedom to African Decolonization

THE PHILADELPHIA REPORT – I was invited to do a weekly series on South African Radio: Each day, the fabulously talented South African personality, Jonathan Taylor hosts his “Breakfast in Bed,” a show on Radio Today, which live streams 8:00 AM, South African time, at www.rt1485.com

THE PHILADELPHIA REPORT MARCH 21, 2022 – By the mid to late 1700s, the city of Philadelphia had become the leading commercial and cultural center of colonial American life. Philadelphia boasted the busiest ports and the largest population of the American colonies. So importantly, Philadelphia became a center of revolutionary thought and activity. Freedom was the goal for the thousands of enslaved Africans on the Underground Railroad, a secret network of safe houses, churches and farms that offered shelter and safety, which many found in the Philadelphia region.

In this Philadelphia Report- with symbols of love and freedom all around me – I am asking South Africa to lead in the decolonization of the rest of Africa….

Here is a question. What is the difference between a bank robber and a gay person? A bank robber and an LGBTQI person? This is NOT a trick question, nor a riddle , and sorry not a politically incorrect or insensitive joke….

The answer is –  LISTEN to the latest in this my weekly broadcast on South African radio… !!!

MUSIC – Philadelphia Freedom, Elton John.
