This morning NPR aired a great story on how Trump’s Justice Department rulings continue to place domestic violence survivors and others at risk of deportation. The story features Ms. A.B. (Matter of A-B-) and Cristina, one of the many women wrongly denied asylum due to these rulings.
We are calling on A.G. Garland to vacate these decisions immediately and would appreciate help amplifying the NPR story!

After receiving death threats Cristina and her daughter sought asylum in the U.S. – only to be rejected due to Trump policies that remain in effect today. “There are times when I can’t sleep thinking about whether they will return me,” she told @NPRJoel – https://www.npr.org/2021/04/30/992072453/domestic-abuse-survivors-fear-deportation-under-trump-policy-biden-has-yet-to-re – “We are fleeing the possibility of being assassinated. Many people are no longer around to tell their story.” Three years after Jeff Sessions intervened in her case, Ms. A.B. remains in dangerous legal limbo. Merrick Garland can – and must – fix this. https://www.npr.org/2021/04/30/992072453/domestic-abuse-survivors-fear-deportation-under-trump-policy-biden-has-yet-to-re
