Pride 2018: “We must ensure the stories of our generations of elders are not lost and that our youth know how to harness the strength built by generations. Most importantly, our youth need to know how to use their own strength both individually and collectively to face the future,” noted Larry Nelson whose San Francisco Pride theme won the vote for 2018:

San Francisco Pride is one of the largest and most well-established gatherings of the LGBTQ community and its allies in the nation, if not the world. The theme for the 48th annual event is “Generations of Strength,”  a powerful reminder of the important juncture we currently face in the history of our movement.

Parade contingents march through the heart of the city, along Market Street, to an audience of millions. Over 270 contingents participated in the 2017 parade, making it one of our largest in the history of the event.

Exhibitors at the 2-day Celebration in Civic Center interact with hundreds of thousands of attendees. A wide range of exhibitors come out every year to share information, showcase their products, provide services, and sell one-of-a-kind merchandise. With more than 20 stages and venues, the San Francisco Pride Celebration is an incredibly diverse, world-class festival.

When all is said and done, San Francisco Pride shares over $100,000 with local community partners.   Lets see you all come out and celebrate and resist- whatever you feel you want to do – San Francisco pride is your awesome platform!
