Details for the hearing – Austin Texas
The Senate State Affairs committee will hold a hearing on a SB3 and SB91 (the “Bathroom Bills”) this Friday at 9:00am. We would like to see as many of you turnout to testify as we can.
Registration for testifying will be outside of the committee room E1.036 by card only (you cannot register to testify online). It will begin at 8am and close at 12pm. If you are in line at 12pm you should be given the opportunity to register.
You can submit any written testimony or register opposition at any time. 2 MINUTES ONLY. You can register using your own device if you are logged into the capitol WIFI and you should be able to do this outside of the building so you don’t have to go through security.
Here are the details from the Legislature:
Witness registration opens at 8am. Witness registration for ORAL testimony will close at 12pm. However, you may register a position or provide written testimony only at any point during the hearing.
For ORAL testimony, proceed to the witness registration table located outside E1.036 in the Capitol Extension to fill out a paper witness registration card.
To register a position or provide written testimony only, please register at any electronic witness registration kiosk. After you have registered electronically, drop off any written testimony at the witness registration table located outside E1.036.
Public testimony will be limited to 2 minutes. If submitting written testimony, please provide 15 copies to the committee clerk with your name on each.
