Pro Hamas DNC Delegates Refuse to pledge for Kamala Harris

By Melanie Nathan, July 27, 2027

There are plenty of recently available statements by Vice President Kamala Harris to point to her balanced view in attempting to promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza, including her support of a cease fire deal which now seems to have been rejected by Hamas.

There is plenty of evidence to quell any Jewish person’s concern with what her policies may be on Israel and antisemitism. It is clear that she supports Israel’s right to exist and to defend itself and that she will not stand for antisemitism. She has also shown balance:  Lest we fail to notice in similar fashion she clearly asserts that she will not stand for Islamophobia and that she will call out whats she sees as an humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Harris is seen this week to be balancing her pro-Israel support with her strong assertion that she will “not be silent about the suffering in Gaza.” Yet for two DNC delegates Harris is not one sided enough to earn their pledge.

Context is important. It was not Jews nor pro-Israel supporters who chose to wave their flags while burning American flags, and defacing monuments with pro terrorist slogans in protests in Washington D.C.  So when pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas supporters did just that, Kamala Harris condemned their behavior.

This seems to be the impetus for pro-Hamas DNC delegates to decide to stand with Hamas. They will now refuse their nomination pledge for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, and instead name “Ceasefire Now” as their nominee for President of the United States of America. I’m not kidding. They sent me their press release asserting this!

Nadia B. Ahmad and Liano Sharon, the rogue DNC delegates, have announced their nomination of “Ceasefire Now” for President of the United States of America, citing that they believe that the United States’ “continuous support for unjust foreign policies, particularly in the Middle East, must be challenged. Recent events and statements by Vice President Kamala Harris highlight this urgent need for change.”

The two criticized Harris for her condemnation of the protests, proclaiming that the protestors were of right and that their protest was legitimate and acceptable.

CBS NEWS REPORT:

Vice President Kamala Harris condemned demonstrators who voiced support for Hamas and burned an American flag near the U.S. Capitol to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress on Wednesday, saying in a statement that “hate and violence of any kind have no place in our nation.”

Harris, now the likely Democratic nominee for president after President Biden dropped his reelection bid, denounced the protesters who engaged in “despicable acts” and “dangerous hate-fueled rhetoric.”

“I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews. Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation,” the vice president said in the statement issued by her office. “I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way.”

It is clear that the two delegates, in their call to exclude a Harris nomination, have ignored the Kamala Harris statement where she did in fact call for a ceasefire, where she did express disdain for “innocent deaths” in Gaza, and where she did call on Prime Minister Netanyahu to “get it (cease fire)  done.” And of course where she called for the release of the Jewish and American hostages held by Hamas and the Palestinians. The latter seemingly of no concern to these delegates.

AP REPORTS:

“Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday said she urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a cease-fire deal soon with Hamas so that dozens of hostages held by the militants in Gaza since Oct. 7 can return home.

Harris said she had a “frank and constructive” conversation with Netanyahu in which she affirmed Israel’s right to defend itself but also expressed deep concern about the high death toll in Gaza over nine months of war and the “dire” humanitarian situation there.”  …

“There has been hopeful movement in the talks to secure an agreement on this deal,” Harris told reporters shortly after meeting with Netanyahu. “And as I just told Prime Minister Netanyahu, it is time to get this deal done.”  …

“Harris on Thursday said she was outraged that some protesters tagged areas near the U.S. Capitol with pro-Hamas graffiti, expressed support for the militants and burned a U.S. flag at Union Station. “Pro-Hamas graffiti and rhetoric is abhorrent and we must not tolerate it in our nation,” Harris said in a statement. “I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way.”

“Harris said after her meeting with Netanyahu that Israel’s war in Gaza is more complicated than simply being supportive of one side or the other.“Too often, the conversation is binary when the reality is anything but,” Harris said. Harris also condemned Hamas’ brutality.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby reiterated the administration position that the militant group that killed some 1,200 on Oct. 7 and kidnapped 250 people from Israel ultimately holds responsibility for the suffering in Gaza and must come to terms with Israel.”

The two delegates noted their reason for NOT wanting to pledge to Harris:

“Vice President Harris’s condemnation of protesters who burned an American flag and voiced support for Palestine near the U.S. Capitol reveals a fundamental misunderstanding of the true nature of dissent and the underlying causes of the protests. Harris’s labeling of these protesters as supporters of a “brutal terrorist organization” without acknowledging their legitimate grievances against U.S. foreign policy, which has enabled the violence in Palestine, is seen as a grave misstep.”

“The current administration’s approach, which Harris is poised to continue, has failed to address the root causes of conflict and has often exacerbated them. The unconditional support for Israeli actions in Gaza has led to the loss of countless innocent lives and has fueled resentment and anger both domestically and internationally. Ahmad and Sharon argue that by continuing on this path, the U.S. is not only complicit in the ongoing violence but is also alienating itself from the global community that seeks peace and justice.”

“In light of the recent developments and Vice President Harris’s statements, Ahmad and Sharon reject supporting Kamala Harris as a  presidential candidate.”

The ploy by the two DNC delegates, is one that must be seen as dishonoring their duty to the Democratic Party, as they have decided to proclaim their anti American stance as a movement, and their movement as their nominee.  One that condones the burning of  the American flag  and the violent desecration of U.S. monuments.  One that supports the calls for the destruction of Israel. One that they name under surreptitious nomenclature “Ceasefire Now”.

Somehow their protest, poised for launch in the DNC convention hall, seems as suspect and disingenuous enough as to mirror the Hamas refusal to accept the deal that Israel is willing to accept and that Harris is promoting. A cease fire that calls for a two-phase full withdrawal from Gaza, and the return of ALL of the hostages. The latter clearly called for by VP Harris who also noted her support for a two state solution.

Ahmad and Sharon are trying to urge DNC delegates to join them in nominating “Ceasefire Now,” to the Presidency ! Seriously?

Their objection to current Biden-Harris policies, seem to align 100% with Hamas in the wish for the destruction of Israel. What other conclusion can one draw where balance is critical to any mediated solution.

Given how this has played out, shame on any Jewish person who for one minute has the audacity to doubt Kamala Harris in her support for Israel, and to tout that VP Harris will “not be good for Israel or Jews”. All should be standing shoulder to shoulder with her, given her strong statements, her pledge to assert continued support for Israel, and yes the fact that she is the only candidate who stands for democracy and freedom in America and the world. It is clear that the Hamas supporters in the DNC simply cannot stand it.

The action of these two clearly serves as evidence that Kamala Harris is strong on Israel in her intolerance of terrorism – these two terrorist supporters are telling you!
